This assembly is of great importance for the First Serbian Uprising because it represented the first meeting of all Nahija and insurgent elders of the Belgrade pashalik since the Serbs raised an uprising against Dahija in general. At this assembly, in addition to the agreement on what will be presented to the Dahija envoys in the peace negotiations in Zemun, they also discussed the further development of the uprising, the organization of the new government, the procurement of ammunition, etc. The Ostružnica Assembly (May 6-15, 1804) was a meeting of Serbian national leaders during the First Serbian Uprising.
